The ISHCMC Rhinos held off the UNIS Phoenix team to claim the Gold Medal at the MIRSA tournament in Vientiane. In an exciting conclusion to the boy’s tournament, the Rhinos steadily pulled away from their opponents and prevailed in the end. A strong ISHCMC team was lead by #99, Alex, with 17 of his team’s 39 points. At halftime the game was close with the Rhinos holding only a two basket lead. However their steady play proved too much for the Phoenix team who could not keep pace in the second half. Both teams had excellent tournaments, but with this win, the Rhinos ended the tournament on top and undefeated.
